Dr. Azim Zaliha Abd Aziz, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia
Dr. Azim Zaliha Abd Aziz is a
Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Informatics and Computing, Universiti Sultan
Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science
from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, in 2017. Her research interests
include artificial intelligence, computer vision, image processing, biometrics,
machine learning, and intelligent surveillance systems.
Dr. Aziz has led and participated in numerous research projects focusing on face
anti-spoofing, gait analysis, fire and smoke detection, and AI-based safety
monitoring. She has secured competitive research grants, published in
international journals and conferences, and actively collaborates with academic
and industry partners. Her work has received recognition through innovation
awards and has contributed to the development of practical AI solutions for
public safety, smart environments, and healthcare. She also serves as a
reviewer, Technical Program Committee member, and invited speaker for various
international conferences, while supervising postgraduate students and promoting
international research collaborations.
Prof. Anand Nayyar, Duy Tan University, Vietnam
Dr. Anand Nayyar received Ph.D (Computer Science)
from Desh Bhagat University in 2017 in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks,
Swarm Intelligence and Network Simulation. He is currently working in School of
Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (SCA)-Duy Tan University, Da Nang,
Vietnam as Professor, Scientist, Vice-Chairman (Research) and Director- IoT and
Intelligent Systems Lab. A Certified Professional with 280+ Professional
certifications from CISCO, Microsoft, CompTIA, Amazon, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle,
Google, Salesforce, Tableau, FinOps, Beingcert, EXIN, GAQM, Cyberoam and many
more. Published more than 260+ Research Papers in various High-Quality

Assoc. Prof. Thinagaran Perumal, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia
Thinagaran
Perumal is the recipient of 2014 Early Career Award from IEEE
Consumer Electronics Society for his pioneering contribution in
the field of consumer technologies. He completed his PhD at
Universiti Putra Malaysia, in the area of smart technology and
robotics. He is currently appointed as Head of Department at the
Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science and
Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia and been
elected as Chair of IEEE Consumer Technology Society Malaysia
Chapter. His research interests are towards interoperability
aspects of smart homes and Internet of Things (IoT), wearable
computing, and cyber-physical systems. Thina is also heading the
National Committee on Standardization for IoT (IEC/ISO TC /
G/16) as Chairman since 2018. Some of the eminent works include
proactive architecture for IoT systems; development of the
cognitive IoT frameworks for smart homes and wearable devices
for rehabilitation purposes. He is an active member of IEEE
Consumer Technology Society and its Future Directions Committee
on Internet of Things. He has been invited to give several
keynote lectures and plenary talk on Internet of Things in
various institutions and organizations internationally. He has
published several papers in IEEE Conferences and Journals and is
serving as TPC member for several reputed IEEE conferences. He
is an active reviewer for IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE
Communication Magazine, IEEE Sensors Journal, and IEEE
Transaction for Automation Science and Engineering, to name a
few. He was elected as General Chair for IEEE International
Symposium on Consumer Electronics 2017 (ISCE’17) held in Kuala
Lumpur. Thina is currently serving as Chair, IEEE CTSoc
Technical Committee on Internet of Things and Digital Twin,
overseeing some of the society’s technical activities.
